Mobile Terms of Service
Last updated: 27 August 2026
The Hippie Shake mobile messaging service (the "Service") is operated by The Hippie Shake Ltd ("The Hippie Shake", "we", "us", "our"). These Mobile Terms of Service ("Mobile Terms") apply to your use of the Service and sit alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
By signing up, you agree to these Mobile Terms.
About the Service
The Service sends recurring marketing text messages about new arrivals, promotions, restocks, and abandoned cart reminders, along with occasional transactional messages about your order.
Signing Up
You can join by submitting your mobile number through a sign-up form on our website, at checkout, or by texting our published keyword to our number.
Your consent is not a condition of any purchase. Joining is entirely voluntary, and you can leave at any time.
You must be 18 or over to sign up. If you are under 18, please do not submit your mobile number.
You confirm that the mobile number you provide is yours and that you are authorised to receive messages at it.
Message Frequency and Cost
Message frequency varies, and is typically up to 6 messages per month.
We do not charge for the Service. Message and data rates may apply, and you are responsible for any charges your mobile provider applies to sending or receiving text messages. Check your plan with your provider if you are unsure.
How to Stop Receiving Messages
You can opt out at any time, free of charge, in either of these ways:
- Reply STOP to any message from us
- Use the unsubscribe link in any message where one is included
You will receive a single confirmation message and then no further marketing messages, unless you sign up again.
If you have joined more than one of our messaging programmes, you may need to opt out of each separately, except where the law requires otherwise.
Opting out of marketing texts does not stop transactional messages about an order you have already placed.
Getting Help
Reply HELP to any message, or get in touch via our Contact Page. We aim to respond within 48 hours, Monday to Friday UK business hours.
If Your Number Changes
Please tell us if you change or give up your mobile number, so that we do not message someone who has not consented. If you get a new number, you will need to sign up again with the new number.
We may change the number or sender ID we use to operate the Service and will tell you if we do. Messages you send to a number we have stopped using, including STOP or HELP requests, may not reach us, and we cannot action requests we do not receive.
Delivery and Availability
Mobile networks are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for failed, delayed, or misdirected messages, for errors in the content of a message, or for any action you take or do not take in reliance on a message. Nothing here excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
We may change, suspend, or withdraw the Service, or any of its features, at any time.
Your Privacy
We use your mobile number and messaging preferences to operate the Service. How we collect, use, share, and retain your personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your mobile number with third parties for their own marketing.
Additional Information for Customers in the UK and EU
Lawful basis. We send marketing text messages on the basis of your consent, under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and the UK GDPR. Where you have bought from us, we may send messages about similar products on the basis of the soft opt-in, and every message will include a way to opt out.
Withdrawing consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time using the methods above. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of messages sent before you withdrew it.
Your data rights. You have the right to access your data, correct it, have it erased, restrict or object to its processing, and receive a copy of it. Our Privacy Policy explains how to exercise these rights.
Complaints. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Identifying us. Every marketing message we send will identify The Hippie Shake as the sender.
