Built from soft leather in tonal browns, the Goldhawk Patchwork Leather Skirt turns the geometric patchwork idea into a fitted vintage mini shape. Each panel is pieced together to create the bold brown and tan design, then finished with metal poppers and a cotton lining. The construction is what makes this one feel really special, and it’s the kind of leather piece that should only get better with age.

We wanted a proper leather set in the collection, and this skirt is where you can really have fun with the styling. Wear it with the matching Goldhawk jacket for the full look, or break it up with the Paddington Cream Shaggy Coat and Highgate boots for something a little more relaxed.

With a roll neck, huge sunglasses and knee-high boots, it instantly brings Anita Pallenberg to mind. That mix of patchwork leather, tonal browns and a tiny mini feels completely at home in her world.

Underground

Underground began with the London we picture from the late 60s and early 70s. Tiled stations, old carriage windows, bold directional signs, flashes of red, cream and brown, people heading across town in big coats, boots and flares, stopping for records or coffee before carrying on somewhere else.

We loved the look of the Underground from that time. The curved windows, graphic arrows, strong shapes and colours all had so much character, and slowly those details started finding their way into the collection. The half-flower windows seen at old London stations became the appliqué around the Archway dress, while arrows and geometric panelling run through the denim, jumpsuits and outerwear.

From there we started thinking about 70s uniform dressing. Pieces you could wear across the whole day and keep mixing together. A fitted shirt with cropped flares and boots, a jumpsuit under a huge coat, denim with patchwork leather. The collection was designed to work as one wardrobe, with pieces that could be swapped around depending on the day ahead.

The Making Of Underground

A note from Naomi Hession

If I had to sum up Underground in one image, it would be London street style in 1969. Big coats, flared trousers, knee-high boots and enormous sunglasses. People dressed brilliantly, but still dressed for an actual day of getting around London.
