Dark, decadent and made for nights out, our Midnight Muse Black Embroidered Penny Lane Coat pairs plush black cotton velvet with ornate golden embroidery and shaggy faux fur trims for a little late ’60s rock ’n’ roll drama.
Inspired by the rich black velvet and gold embroidery of our Midnight Muse dress, we wanted to bring that same feeling into a coat you could wear with almost anything. Rather than covering the velvet in embroidery, we kept the detailing more pared back, using intricate golden trims to frame the coat and stand out beautifully against the deep black base.
The cotton velvet gives it a wonderfully plush, rich finish, while the shaggy faux fur adds all the Penny Lane drama we love. Style it with the Smoke & Gold Velvet Trousers and a Storyteller Ruffle Blouse for an off-duty rockstar look, or throw it over a dress with long boots when the night calls for something a little more special.
